What the Manchester Rotary Club does:
Club Service focuses on strengthening fellowship and ensuring the effective functioning of the club.
- Annual Auction to support club projects
- Rotary/Lions Golf Tournament
- Attend state and national Conventions to gain a better understanding of Rotary.
Vocational Service encourages Rotarians to serve others through their vocations and to practice high ethical standards.
- Rotarians participate with Chamber on New teacher, Professional business and Elected officials luncheon
- Participate in high school career days and the Real Life Academy
Community Service covers the projects and activities the club undertakes to improve life in our community.
- Sponsor an attendee to Boys State
- Provide Arion Award scholarship and Voc Tech to outstanding WD Seniors
- Provide Fall Picnic and Christmas party for clients of the vocational workshop
- Built retaining wall at Riverside park and most recently spearheaded the building of a Shelter at Schram Park
- For 56 years have Sponsored National Honor Society Banquet
- Hold elected offices in the community
International Service encompasses actions taken to expand Rotary's humanitarian reach around the globe and to promote world understanding and peace.
- Conduction a Rotary Foundation meeting and recognizing our Paul Harris Fellows
- We have hosted Group Study Exchanges in the past
- We have Raised money for the Rotary International Polio Plus Program
- Actively participate in the Foreign exchange student program sponsoring both incoming and outgoing students.
